PINOY SMILE CONTEST RULES FOR NOVEMBER


A. How to join

1. The contest is open to Pinoy children all over the world, ages 1 month to 6 years old.


2. To join, parents of a prospective contestant must send two (2) clear, close-up, current solo photos (.jpg or .jpeg files only) of the child featuring his/her best smile to: contest@pinoysmiles.net.



3. Write the full name of the child on the subject line of the email. Use capital letters only for first letter of given and family names. Do not use capital letters to write the whole name.


4. The following information should accompany the photos: child's full name, complete address with postal code, birthday, names of father and mother, name and email address of person submitting the entry, and link to a family/baby blog or website (if available). Only the name of the child and the link to the family/baby blog or website will be published.



5. Only parents of the child in the photo are allowed to submit the entry in behalf of their child.



6. All entries submitted by 4 pm (Pacific Daylight Time-PDT) on October 31 and will be eligible to participate in contest.


5. If the entry qualifies for the contest, an email notification will be sent to the parent with the qualifying photo attached. You may then also submit a slideshow featuring other photos of your child. Valid photos and the slideshow (if available) will be posted on the website and on a solo photo page for each contestant.


B. Criteria to select the winner

1/3 Pinoy Smile Parents’ Elite Circle votes



*Quality of comment-votes will be determined by Pinoy Smile based on the number, authenticity, relevance to the questions and conformity to the contest instructions. Only comments cast during the period of November 4-9, 2009 will be considered. Each contestant will be ranked.

*Number of poll-votes will be determined by votes cast during the period of November 11-30. Each contestant will be ranked.

*Pinoy Smile Parents’ Circle votes will be solicited from parents whose child participated/or is participating in the September, October and November contests. An email will be sent to these parents. Each contestant will be ranked based on the results.



C. How to win

1. The child who ranks #1 overall will be declared Smile of the Month winner and will receive Canadian $100 (or its equivalent in local currency, if the winner is not a resident of Canada). A certificate prominently announcing the child won the contest will also be awarded.

2. Contestants who rank #2 to 10 will be declared runners-up for the month’s contest. They will receive a certificate prominently announcing their respective rank in the contest.


3. Winners will be declared on December 3, 2009 at 12:01 am, Pacific Standard Time.


4. Results of the contest will be final and indisputable. Pinoy Smiles reserves the right to make the final decision regarding winners.


5. Winners will be contacted by Pinoy Smiles and a notification email will be sent accordingly. Cash prizes will be sent through bank-to-bank remittance or door-to-door delivery, whichever Pinoy Smiles finds convenient.


6. All winning photos will also be featured with a short write-up at the Pinoy Smiles website (www.pinoysmiles.net).


7. Non-winners are still eligible to join the next months’ contest, provided that new photos are submitted.


8. All of the contestants will receive a certificate of participation from Pinoy Smiles.

C. How to vote



Comment-voting

1. Comment-voting started Nov. 4, 2009 and ended Nov. 8, 2009.
2. Anyone can vote.
3. You can vote once a day through the comment section in the contestants’ solo photo pages.
4. Anonymous comments will not be allowed.
5. You can vote for as many contestants as you want, but only once a day for each contestant.
6. You can comment in English or Filipino/Tagalog.
7. Only original comments per contestant will be counted. Comments which are the same as another previously posted in the same photo page will not be counted. You can post your original comment in other contestants' pages, if you are voting for more than one.
8. Only comments which make sense will be counted.
9. You can vote by answering one of the following questions and post the whole sentence as your comment.

Poll-voting

1. Voting will start on November 11, 2009 at 12:01 am; and end on November 30, 2009 at 11:59 pm, Pacific Standard Time.

2. Anyone can vote.

3. You can vote only once for the whole month.

4. You can vote for any number of contestants, but only once for the whole month.

5. Votes are restricted by IP.





Pinoy Smile Parents’ Elite Circle votes

1. Voting will start on November 11, 2009 at 12:01 am; and end on November 30, 2009 at 11:59 pm, Pacific Standard Time.
2. Parents of children who participated or are participating in the September, October and November 2009 contests will comprise the Pinoy Smile Parents’ Elite Circle.
3. Only the parent responsible in submitting an entry to the contests mentioned, as per Pinoy Smile records, will be eligible to vote. A ballot will be sent by email. Votes will be tracked by name and email address, but personal information will be kept confidential.
4. One vote per parent, one eligible parent per child who participated in the September, October, and November contests.
