I signed up with Odesk last December 2008 and until now i didn't land on a job. It was very hard and frustrating because at first i was very enthusiastic applying but then again realization got me that i have to compete with millions of internet wizards whom mostly got the job first.
But then again i happened to read a job posting in female network for a data entry. So i grab the opportunity and applied for it. It was a $2 for 3k words that you will type correctly. At first it was hard but i got used to it and i have 10k word plus, plus...I worked for maximum of 4 hours a day with interruption (taking care of my baby on the side).
Right now due to typhoon Ondoy i lost contact with my buyer whom was in a business trip, and, sad to say i cannot connect to their server anymore. I hope that it was due to the storm and not that they have excluded me off the job.
