I have been a Stay at Home mom for two years now and being unemployed for that long time have it's consequences. I didn't have my own money and from that i can't buy the things i wanted to. Although, i have my allowance from my hubby, it's different having your own. Plus, the fact that we have our son here. Most of us mothers will buy the things our kids needs first, than buying our own. We also have a difficult start as a family since, since my baby was born way back 2006 we were in and out of the hospital due to his asthma attacks. So we really have the means to save and buy the things we want. Right now my hubby is the sole bread winner for the three of us and i may say that sometimes his salary isn't enough. I have to find other things for our extra income just to be able to cope up. And then So with that, I have a lot of things I want to buy myself but i can't due to money shortage. Here's the list of the things i wanted to buy from the $1000 prize if i win (cross fingers....)
1.A Coach Bag ($298) for me....I haven't got any decent bag for myself ever since. I am not minding it a lot when i was younger but, i realized i should have one especially when i am attending formal functions and gathering.
2. Kobe Shoes for my hubby (129.99)- he's been eyeing for this for a long time and i get frustrated because i can't give him this. He plays basketball all the time and he always wear his old rubber shoes we bought when we were boyfriend/girlfriend, so that is really old and needs replacement. But, because we have to prioritize everything, it became the least.
3. A new laptop for my online gigs ($599)- i need to buy this one since i have online gigs for my extra cash i need a more stable laptop that can be able to work faster.
4. Car transmission for my hubby's car since it was flooded by Ondoy. Until now we can't use our car because it's transmission must be replaced. And as I've said we have to really allot a certain portion of our income for that but, the income isn't really enough. So we have to wait....
I should win this contest because as I've said i am a stay at home mom and i can't afford to buy all those things for me and my hubby. And also it will be a great help for us especially that we were one of the victims of Ondoy typhoon last 2009 here in the Philippines. Most of our things where thrown out because we can't use them anymore. And with a little resources it will take time for us to be back on our feet.
